Dr Shai Levy

General Dentist

Dr. Levy takes pride in his work, and a true personal interest in each patient he sees – and his patients notice. They have regularly voted him The Best Dentist in Clarington from the Readers Choice Awards. His practice is also regularly voted as The Best Dental Office thanks to his happy, loyal patients, and his friendly, dedicated team.

Dr. Levy wants to help you understand your dental treatment options, make the best informed decision for you, and deliver the dental care you need in a comfortable and caring office from a skilled and friendly team.

For those who are anxious about dental visits, Dr. Levy offers dental sedation options ranging from laughing gas to dentistry asleep. This allows Dr. Levy to offer dental treatment for every age.

Dr. Levy graduated with his DDS degree from the University of Toronto Dentistry in the year 2000. His commitment to offering complete care to his patients means that Dr. Levy continues with courses in Paediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Surgical and Implant dentistry, and full mouth restorations. This unique multidisciplinary approach to patient care really sets him apart from other practitioners.

Working alongside an anaesthesiologist, in his dedicated surgical suite, Dr. Levy and his team perform dentistry under general anaesthesia so that patients can have standard dental treatment, as well as wisdom tooth removals, implant placement, and root canals while fully sedated and comfortable. In fact, other local dentists trust Dr. Levy to perform this care and routinely refer patients to him. You don’t need a referral though. You can simply call the office to arrange your own consultation for dental care or dentistry asleep.

His dental office is equipped with dental technology that helps him deliver comfortable procedures and accurate, predictable results. Dr. Levy uses technology such as the 3shape Trios scanner to capture the finest of detail in every impression, or his in-house CT 3D cone beam imaging for accuracy. His commitment to your care is what drives him.

When he is not at the office, Dr. Levy is a family man, spending his days with his beautiful wife and four children. Dr. Levy finds balance when enjoying long bike rides, remote hiking trails, working out, and the occasional game of basketball.
Dr Karen Li

General Dentist

Dr. Li strives to provide compassionate and quality care, to help educate patients and create beautiful and healthy smiles. She actively pursues continuing education with the goal to provide a comfortable patient experience tailored to one’s individual needs.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Li enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to workout classes, and travelling.

Dr Jahan Zeb

General Dentist

Dr. Zeb earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree in 2010 from a dental school in Pakistan and brings over 10 years of clinical experience to the practice. After relocating to Canada, he successfully obtained his dental license in Ontario in July 2025.

Dr. Zeb is experienced in diagnosing patients and providing a wide range of dental treatments, including restorative procedures (fillings), root canal therapy, crowns, dentures and tooth extractions, as well as treating both pediatric and adult patients under nitrous oxide sedation. He is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care at Bowmanville Dental for families who trust the clinics with their oral health. Dr. Zeb is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi, allowing him to assist a diverse range of patients more effectively.

Outside of clinical practice, Dr. Zeb continually updates his skills through continuing education courses and advanced dental training to remain at the forefront of modern dentistry.
Dr Mandy McIntosh

Periodontist

Dr. Mandy McIntosh holds an honours B.Sc. from the University of Toronto (1986) and a DDS from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry (1991) as well as a post-grad degree in periodontics from U of T (1996).

She received several scholarships and awards during her education, including the Mary Ellen Carty Scholarship, the American Academy of Periodontology Award, the Oral Diagnosis Award, and the Oral Pathology Award. In 2002, Dr. McIntosh, with Robert S. Turnbull M.ScD and David Locker PhD., co-authored an article in the Journal of Public Health Dentistry on periodontal disease. Dr. McIntosh offers esthetic gum reshaping in addition to various types of gum surgery.

When not working, she enjoys outdoor activities with her children.
Dr Heliya Zia

Orthodontist

Dr. Heliya Ziai attended McMaster University for her undergraduate studies where she graduated Cum Laude from the Bachelor of Health Sciences Program. She obtained her doctorate degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honour Society. She went on to earn her Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Heliya is passionate about orthodontics and is dedicated to using the latest, most effective technologies and techniques for her patients.

Dr. Heliya loves working together with her patients to help establish a healthy and confident smile. Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Heliya Ziai playing tennis, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends. Dr. Heliya’s greatest joy is seeing her patients’ confidence grow as their smiles do.
